Displacement is increased to 40cc's - delivering more power. A three-shoe pro clutch is standard for maximum power transmission to the chain. The chain brake handle area is enlarged to permit increased mobility for larger, gloved hands. Guards and a new on/off switch prevent inadvertent shut-down. Design incorporates features demanded by arborists, "bucket" sawyers, orchardists, those involved in high intensity trimming / pruning and others who need the special characteristics of a top handle saw. Top handle is designed so that the saw balance point is directly under the throttle handle. In addition to safety interlock, the throttle handle has a "thumb" rest for additional control. A low profile chain brake / hand guard, a high angle hand grip, and low profile horizontal engine, allow cutting in tough-to-reach locations. Includes standard features found on other Solo saws and a built-in "eye" for attaching a safety clip or drop line. Also available with 12" bar and chain.
